my commute from H-E-double hockey sticks

Yesterday may have been the last day on the FZ1 this year. It was a day of sun in between two snow storms. Needless to say, it was cold.

After class I just wanted to get home to beat the traffic and sunset. Getting onto the highway and trying to merge left to remain on said highway, I was unintentionally blocked by a taxi cab. I was forced to take the off ramp and I proceeded to make a wrong choice, partly due to the infamous road signage of Boston, and turned toward the airport. That’s how it all began.

If you don’t know about the Boston Airport you can’t get easily back into Boston without paying an exorbitant toll. Therefore I proceeded to find the long way around to make it to my final destination. I ended up going through the seediest places of Boston’s industrial parks, where the roads were wet and very bumpy.

Finally, I ended up back at the same highway on ramp I saw not 30 minutes before. By this time the traffic had doubled and the sun had gone down and the temperature was dropping quickly. Another 30 minutes and I was home and so pissed off that I couldn’t talk about it for a while. I stayed and warmed my hands on the engine in an attempt to cool my temper and warm my body.

What normally takes me roughly 20 minutes, took me 80 minutes. Did I mention it was cold? I was fine for the first hour until the sun went down.
